When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine whether you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy can be found at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture may be visible publicly with your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images that include embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site may download and extract location data from images available on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These cookies exist for convenience so that you do not need to fill in details again when posting another comment. They last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and disappears when the browser closes.

When you log in, cookies save login details and screen preferences. Login cookies last two days while screen options cookies last one year.

Selecting “Remember Me” keeps your login active for two weeks. Logging out removes login cookies.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie may be saved indicating the post ID of the edited article. This cookie expires after one day.
